Well now!

Another week, another hospital stay!

I spent 5 LONG days in hospital last week with a suspected bleed on the brain.......I love a bit of drama me! After a 4 day headache I went to the dr, she in turn sent me straight to A&E, where I was admitted.  I was checked for meningitis, a stroke and sent for a CT scan.  Three days later I then suffered TWO failed lumbar punctures and the full-monty one, all of which showed no sign of a bleed.

My week involved tramadol, bed-pan shenanigans in the next bed, amazing nurses, pain, noise, low blood pressure, tramadol, lying on my back, hospital food (oh dear lord!), the grim reaper looky-likey in the bed opposite who took a shine to me (was she trying to tell me something?), the lady in bed 1 with a penchant for blowing bubbles through a straw (ALL DAY!), farty pants in bed 5 (open a window please!), no telly, tramadol and the wonderful romanian night nurse who made me tea in a proper mug from the nurses staff room (THE best cup of tea ever!)

We have returned today from a little trip to Scarborough with all the family Cheese (the wind and rain have helped blow away all the pain!)
