farewell dear mum

We have just returned from a few emotional days in Wales,
where we scattered my mum's ashes.

The sun shone on us as we placed half of the ashes with
her mother and father in the cemetery in Conwy and we
scattered the rest over the Great Orme in Llandudno,
facing Conwy and Puffin Island.
Such a beautiful beautiful place.

Never a day goes by that I don't think of you,
Rest in Peace lovely mum
We love you x x x x

  3. A lovely post and what a beautiful place. You probably know this poem but it comforts me and helps me with the loss of loved ones. x

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
