Twenty seven (really??) years ago I moved to Liverpool to do
my degree in graphic design.
It was here I met my husband, some of my closest friends, had the time of my life, had the most beautiful view of the Anglican Cathederal from my bedroom window, learned to love The Smiths and how to drink beer like the boys!
Last weekend we traveled up to Chester and Liverpool. Large-haired eldest is an Everton supporter so he went to his first Goodison match (they won-hooray!). We took the cheeslets on a speedy trip around our old haunts, including the bombed out church, The Philharmonic, Hope Street, Gambier Terrace, Ye Crack, Catherine Street, The Tabac and The Bluecoat.
Thank you Liverpool for retaining your wonderful charm and humour and for being one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen.
