maxine sutton

I have long been a fan of Maxine Sutton's wonderful work,
so imagine my delight when we ventured off to Whitstable and
Margate for a little run out and stumbled upon her
beautiful shop, Blackbird, in Margate Old Town. The shop has a fantastic mix of Maxine's work and carefully selected contemporary crafts and covetable loveliness.
She also has a studio/workshop upstairs and hosts creative courses.
Go visit Blackbird and Margate soon. It's going to be fabulous in a few days or so after the new Turner Contemporary Gallery opens on saturday.

My poor large-haired eldest had an asthma attack last night.
We ended up in Hemel hospital and were in luck as there was only
one person in front of us.......he got seen very quickly and we were sent home with antibiotics for a chest and throat infection!
Just so she doesn't feel left out, Fluffy youngest screamed out from midnight with an earache......... a day of coughs and splutters and grumpiness today!!!!
YAWN!

We had a lovely few days near Bath with the family G.
We had sun, trampolining (bOiNg!), a spot of culture,
more trampolining (bOiNg!), lovely food, ice creams,
trampolining (bOiNg!), an open-top
bus ride (brrrrrr!) and a walk through beautiful Lacock village
(Pride & Prejudice & Cranford) and Lacock Abbey (Harry Potter).
